Zanko was born in 1954 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He grew up in a big family, surrounded with much love, warmth, and attention. Since early childhood the worldly wisdom of his grand-grandmother, her deep inner centeredness and boundless love inspired in him the feeling of total and unreserved confidence in life. Communication with her enlightened self was the first impetus that set him on his spiritual path. Already at the age of seven, Zanko turned his attention inwards and embarked on the road of self-exploration. His various interests of that period and dynamic interaction with Nature unlocked his great potential. Filled up with turbulent and impetuous mastering of various skills and knowledge of life, creativity and human interrelations, his teenage and adolescent years were a period of conscious exploration of his own limits. In his spiritual quest Zanko became familiar with different cultural traditions, religions, philosophical hypotheses, and ideas about the human values; he studied and practiced spiritual techniques from all over the world.
At the age of 27 the grace of existence revealed itself to him and he dissolved into the volcano of infinite consciousness and the light of selfless love. Truth cannot be conveyed in words; it is a deep insight, an experience, silence, it means to find your inner source… After his enlightenment, Zanko spent a long time in inner silence and reflection.
Since 1994 he has started to speak openly before different audiences about human and life values. Thus he gathered his first disciples in Bulgaria. People of different age groups and nationalities are seeking contact with his charismatic personality, his profound knowledge of man, and the living wisdom he carries. A meeting with him is a strong impetus for each of them to continue further on their spiritual path.
Zanko is an acknowledged and respected spiritual teacher by many traditions. For many years he had organized ashrams and satsangs in Bulgaria, where his disciples under his guidance created a spiritual center.
Since 2003 he has been living in Germany where he created an Institute for Overcoming the Inner Boundaries and for a New Consciousness, and works with his disciples, regularly conducting satsangs, retreats, ashrams, and seminars in Europe. Zanko is also the founder of the “Universum”_foundation, whose goal is to assist the cultural and spiritual development, communication, and integration in the modern world.

The fundamental polarity of the Manifestation is called Yin-Yang. This is the principle of self-fertilization, which creates everything. Everything contains me too: a process of polarities that evolves according to the only principle.
I am a child of God and I come from the source of Creation. This knowledge makes me steadfast. If I trust someone, or believe in something, I will lose my steadfastness. People, things, and doctrines constantly change and pass away.
I would not have wanted to fear that the object of my adoration will disappear, or that the man I follow will die, or that the faith I profess will change. Therefore I bow to the only principle. I can see in everyone the functioning of this principle and process: this is the basis of my competence.
All that grows is changeable. Each long-lasting consolidation is changeable.
My faith in the process means that I fear nothing and have nothing to lose.
